Do not disturb the wound.
If surgical packing was placed, leave it alone. The pack helps to keep the tooth exposed. If it gets dislodged or falls out, do not get alarmed.

Depending on the surgery, you might have a bonded gold chain attached to your braces with a suture.

This chain is a handle for your orthodontist to move the impacted tooth to the desired position. Please do not touch the chain, as the attachment may loosen.

You should see your orthodontist right away to activate the chain and start moving the impacted tooth. It is our desire that your recovery be as smooth and pleasant as possible.
